Theodore Anthony Nugent, was born December 13, 1948, in Redford, Michigan. He was born the third of four siblings in a Catholic household. During his teen years his family moved to Palatine, Illinois, where he attended William Fremd High School for his freshman year and transferred to St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights for the rest of his education.
When it comes to activism, Nugent holds conservative beliefs, firmly suporting pro-gun measures and speaking out against drug use. As a matter of fact, he is even a board member of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and a D.A.R.E. spokesperson.
Ted Nugent is primarily known for a career in music, associating himself in the past with the groups "Hear 'n Aid", "Damn Yankees", "Damnocracy", and even playing a significcant role in "The Amboy Dukes" as the lead guitarist.
